About Our Team

Hillery Group is an indigenous family-owned business founded by a local Bowen couple in 1976 who proved that a business could survive and thrive in a small coastal town in Queensland. Today, the business is owned and led by the next generation, chief executive officer Luke Hillery and director of operations Liam Hillery.

From the beginning, the vision of the business was endurance and being able to provide sustainable work to the community. Our mission is to continue this legacy into the next generation and beyond, shaping the business with the knowledge of the industry and market trends for this region well into the future.

Hillery Group owns and operates five quarries in the Bowen and Collinsville regions, as well as leases a sand reserve in the Don River. We provide quarry products, landscaping supplies and plant hire services to mining and civil construction companies throughout the Whitsunday region.

The corporate and social responsibility of Hillery Group includes the pursuit of a healthy profit to enable the company to invest positively towards social, cultural, economic and environmental issues within the region.
