Project Scope:
As part of the Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA) key project ‘Resilient Queensland’, the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA) and Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) have funded road recovery packages after the natural disasters we have faced in our region.
There have been an ongoing number of natural disasters since 2018, including drought, flooding and cyclones. These weather events cause severe damage to roads.
The scope of these packages was to return rural roads to their pre-disaster state. This involved extensive road works, including heavy formation grading, gravel surface top up and re-sheeting, cleaning, clearing and re-shaping table drains, replacing signage and road furniture. All works are completed to exacting contract specifications.
